Are the cars manual or automatic?

All of our cars are automatic.

Do your cars have air-conditioning?

Yes they all do, except for our open cars: Bee Bee, and Twizy.

Do you propose infant seats?

Yes, we provide infant seats at a rate of 15€ per stay. Please make a reservation to avoid disappointment.

Do you have electric cars?

Yes, we have 8 electric car models, from 2 to 5 people. We are the proud leaders in St Barth eletric cars rental. We have the chance to propose the best models for our roads!

Do you offer road service assistance?

Yes we do on day time, give AVIS St Barth a call from 8am till 6pm.
We'll get to you for assistance and change your car right away if needed.

Who can drive my Avis car?

Only drivers mentioned in the rental agreement are authorized to drive the Avis Saint Barth vehicles.
Extra drivers are free. An extra driver is welcome to register during the stay with its ID and driving license.

Are you partner of hotels?

Yes, Avis Saint Barth is partner of prestigious hotels with rental car service: Le Guanahani St Barth (some cars of ours available at the hotel), Le Manapany, and Les Islets De La Plage.

Do Avis Saint Barth contribute to sustainable development?

Environmental commitment is very important to us. We are developing our electric vehicle fleet.
We exclusively use sun energy for those cars' batteries and bio products for car wash.
Besides, we recycle the used water for our exotic garden.

Picking-up & Returning Cars FAQ

Are you located at the airport?

Yes, Avis Saint Barth has a courtesy-booth at the airport.
Your car will be ready on the parking lot, outside of the airport.
Our main office is just across the road, facing the airport (SBH).

What happens if my plane is delayed?

Avis Saint Barth will wait for you in case of delay.
We always wait for the last plane to arrive if a client isn't here.
Please make sure to mention your flight number on your reservation.

What if I arrive by boat?

Avis Saint Barth welcomes you at the Port of Gustavia, at the ferry terminal.
Our shuttle will drive you within few minutes to your car.

Do you deliver cars on the island?

Yes, we offer to deliver cars to your place, hotel or villa, if you make a reservation on your own.

For my departure, can I leave my car at my hotel or villa?

Yes, you just have to let us know. It's a free service. Please note that missing gas will be charged at our agency rates.

Can I return my car after hours?

You can reach at any time our drop key box at our airport desk.
Vehicle returned outside our regular hours will stay under your responsibility until the start of the next Avis working day.
Our regular opening hours are from 8am till 6pm.

Do I have to refuel the car before returning it?

For electric cars, no refill is needed before returning the car.

For other cars: Yes. We can as well take care of it for you. Missing gas will be charged at our agency rates.

Driving in St. Barth FAQ

Do I need a car in Saint Barth?

Yes. Our island is small but you need a car to reach its points of interest.
We have 40 km (24 miles) of scenic roads, steep and narrow.
It is easy to get around. We'll give you a map at your arrival and directions to your hotel or villa.

What side of the road do you drive on?

We drive on the right side of the road, just like in the United States, Canada or France.

Where are the gas stations located?

There are 2 gas stations on the island, both closed on Sundays.
- At the airport / St. Jean, open from 8am to 12am and 3pm to 6pm.
- At Lorient, open from 7.30am to 5pm. Closed at 12.30pm on Thursdays and Saturdays and closed all day on Sundays.
The one located at St. Jean offers a 24/7 automatic pump working with pin code credit cards.
